We are a friendly, multi-cultural group of Christians who welcome anyone who wants to join us in worship and fellowship.
What Happens At Allerton:
- Monthly ‘Tea and Talk’ for Over 60s – 2 course lunch and a speaker/entertainer.
- Scouts, Cubs & Beavers groups on Wednesdays.
- Monthly ‘Souper Sunday’ – lunch and fellowship after the service.
- Weekly Yoga classes.
- Weekly Keep Fit class for seniors.
- Room hire for children’s parties.
Covid:
Bradford Community Play Partnership used our rooms to deliver their Covid support to local families and children, linking with all the primary schools in the locality.
As we were unable to hold our usual fundraising events in 2020, we set the ‘Action for Children 151 Challenge’ where members were asked to undertake sponsored activities linked to the figure 151, which is how many years Action for Children have been in existence. We raised £1,047.55 with donations of £245.00, Margaret played 151 hymns on the piano in 2 weeks raising £130.00, Ron completed £151 crossword puzzles raising £70.00.
