Funerals

‘Whoever Believes In The Son Has Eternal Life’
(John 3: 36)

Chances are that you are looking at this page because a loved one has recently died or is nearing the end of their earthly life; our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult and painful time. As Christians, we believe in Jesus’ resurrection and, therefore, that death is not the end. Christian funeral services, although inevitably sad occasions, are held in the context of hope; hope of eternal life in heaven. We will always look to celebrate the life of the person who has died.

  • Can anyone have a funeral service in church?
Yes. Discuss with the Minister what arrangements you require. This can be instead of or as well as a service at the crematorium or cemetery.
  • Are there fees involved?
Yes, the Minister will discuss the details; however, you will normally be charged a fee for use of the church, and for the services of an organist, caretaker, steward and sound desk.
